8 free activities for parents and kids to do this weekend in Dubai


Dubai: It’s that time of the week again when parents are looking for activities to do with their kids. We’ve put together a list of free activities for kids happening in Dubai this weekend. From an immersive Korean art exhibit to fun workshops, here are eight events you can explore with your little ones.

1. Korea imagined cubically:

Does your child love the Korean pop group BTS? This weekend you can take them to see an immersive virtual version of the band’s concert in Las Vegas at The Theatre, Mall of the Emirates. The concert is part of an immersive art exhibition organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency and the Korean Cultural Center in the United Arab Emirates.

Children and parents can also learn about Korean art and culture at the exhibition. The exhibition “Korea: Cubically Imagined” takes place at the Art Centre, Mall of Emirates in Dubai and highlights the essence of K-Culture, using cutting-edge technology in different colors inside a cube symbolic. It will take you about two hours to enjoy the exhibition.

Golden Mile Galleria in Palm Jumeirah organizes different types of free workshops for children every weekend.

Kids ages 3-11 can also enjoy face painting, playing with the “bubble lady”, interacting with an on-site cartoonist and magician.

3. The Keep Your Kids Show is back!

Head to Times Square Center, Dubai for a whole range of fun activities for kids this weekend.

Meet the popular children’s TV and radio star, Magic Phil. Enjoy magic shows, West End Academy musical performances, Gaia Center theatrical performances, face painting, kiddie rides and more!

Parents can also meet with children’s activity providers across the emirate to find out more about after-school classes the city offers for kids, from music to theater and more.

Parents can also register their children for free cooking classes and workshops.

4. Winter Camp Open House at Fun Robotics

Get your child interested in robotics. Fun Robotics is offering two free classes on November 20. The first is called the Fun Club. This is a beginner’s course for ages seven to nine that introduces children to basic robotics and programming and builds their understanding of eight science and engineering practices.

The second is called Spike Prime. This is a course for students aged 10+, where students will have a deeper introduction to robotic components and features and program their robots using a block-based language.

5. Ripe Market, Al Barari

6. Free yoga class in downtown Deira

Why not take part in the Dubai Fitness Challenge with a free yoga session this weekend. Parents and children over 12 can head to Deira city center this weekend for a free yoga class.
