Halloween arrives on Monday, October 31.

There are a variety of activities planned in Pipestone for Halloween and the lead up to the annual event.

Chamber trunk or candy
The Pipestone Area Chamber of Commerce will be holding its 8th Annual Trunk or Treat & Downtown Candy Walk on Monday, October 31 from 4:30-6 p.m. on Pipestone’s Main Street.

Three blocks of Main Street, from First Farmers & Merchants Bank to Liberty Pawn, Coins & Antiques, will be closed for a fun and safe event for the whole family. The event is free.

Businesses or non-profit organizations wishing to participate can contact the Chamber at 825-3316 as pre-registration is required.

Halloween Fun Race
A fun Halloween race will take place on Sunday, October 30 at 7 p.m. at Paulsen Field in Pipestone.

Pre-K and Kindergarten students will run a quarter mile; first and second graders will run a half mile and third through fifth graders will run a mile.
Registration and warm-up start at 6:30 p.m.

There will be prizes for best dressed and a bucket war will take place, where people can bring in donations to win a class party. This event is sponsored by Pipestone Elementary Booster Club, Monogram Foods Love Kids Foundation and Anytime Fitness.

Ridge View Estates and Good Sam
Cheaters or caterers may come to the lobby of Ridge View Estates in Pipestone from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday, October 31 and to the Good Samaritan Society at the main entrance from 5:30-6:30 p.m. .

Fall Decorating Contest
Drive the town and find 40 entries for the Pipestone Area Chamber of Commerce Fall Decorating Contest. The residential and commercial categories will be judged by a group of volunteers. Winners will be announced on the Chamber’s website and Facebook page on November 1.
