Harford County celebrates Parks and Recreation Month with free activities in July – Baltimore Sun

Harford County is offering a list of free activities in July to celebrate National Parks and Recreation Month.

“Harford County has nearly 100 parks and activity centers located throughout the county,” County Executive Barry Glassman said. “Parks and Recreation Month is the perfect time to enjoy old favorites and discover something new.”

An activity is scheduled for each day of the month, such as family soccer at Forest Hill/Hickory Activity Center on July 12 and a youth pickleball clinic at Edgewood Recreation and Community Center on July 22. Some activities are always free, such as disc golf at the Scarboro Hills course at Street; others are free on a specific day.

The county’s new leisure mobile will bring entertainment and fitness programs to community centers including Aberdeen Activity Center on Friday, Mariner Point Park in Joppa on July 13 and Edgewood Community Leisure Center on July 20. July.
