New Delhi: Coffee is not only a great drink, but it can be used as part of a regular skin care routine so that the skin can benefit from its constituents. Grind the coffee beans, the powder you get can be used for different purposes or you can just get a packet of instant coffee powder from the grocery store.
You can use the coffee powder to make your favorite drink or use it to make different body and facial scrubs. Coffee powder has a very gritty texture that allows it to exfoliate well, ridding the skin’s surface of dirt, oil, and other impurities.

Here are some ways to make your own coffee scrub at home with the simplest ingredients available in your kitchen.

  1. Coffee with sugar: Mix the coffee powder and powdered sugar with coconut oil or olive oil to achieve the desired texture. Coffee beans and sugar exfoliate skin while coconut oil or olive oil provide nutrients to help make skin supple and smooth.
  2. Coconut Oil Coffee: Mix the coffee powder with the coconut oil until it reaches your desired consistency. Use this scrub all over your body to exfoliate dirt and dead skin cells.
  3. Coffee with Oatmeal: Adding oatmeal to the scrub helps exfoliate the skin better while the oil used nourishes and wards off dryness.
  4. Coffee and Green Tea: This scrub is packed with ingredients that will help improve the skin. Prepare the tea and keep it aside. Then add the oil and green tea to the coffee and adjust the consistency. Scrub your body and feet with this for maximum results.
