Kansas City RB chiefs Clyde Edwards-Helaire practice in Baton Rouge

Kansas City Chiefs players manage to keep busy during the break between mandatory minicamp and training camp. Even with all the free time they have, they maintain their fitness for the upcoming season.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire stopped by for a workout at Elite Training Academy in his hometown of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he also attended LSU. He sparred with Skillz Evolution SOUTH trainer Craig Brodie during practice, which seemed to be very run-centric.

In the video, you can see Edwards-Helaire working on different builds, as well as working to get in and out of his breaks. You can see him doing a variety of different exercises to improve his balance and quickness with his feet. He certainly looks quick and more explosive than he has in recent years.

Perhaps more exciting than the workout video is the caption on Edwards-Helaire on the video shared by Brodie:

“The work ethic is UNMATCHED! Perfection is the name of the game. And he tries to be the best at doing it.

Edwards-Helaire, 23, is entering his third season with the Chiefs in 2022. There are high expectations for the former first-round pick and he seems to be approaching him the right way this offseason.
