Man Utd announce £20m-a-year training kit sponsor with Tezos blockchain platform in huge investment boost
MANCHESTER UNITED has announced a £20m-a-year kit sponsorship with blockchain platform Tezos.
The brand will appear on both men’s and women’s training kits.
United’s training kit has been left bare so far this season after their contract with Aon expired last season.
The Tezos-branded kit will debut this week ahead of United’s first-team game against Southampton.
Commenting on the deal, Manchester United CEO of Alliances and Partnerships, Victoria Timpson said: “This is a hugely exciting partnership for Manchester United as it aligns us with one of the most advanced, most reliable and most durable in a field of technology that promises to truly revolutionize the way everyone, including the Club and our fans, can interact.
“We are especially pleased to partner with one of the most environmentally friendly blockchains, using energy-efficient technology, limiting carbon emissions and reducing costs, in line with the Club’s broader efforts to promote environmental sustainability.
“Partnerships are at the heart of our strength as a club, underpinning the drive to succeed on the pitch, and we are delighted to welcome Tezos as the latest industry leader to join our family of partners.”
Tezos Head of Adoption and Business Development, Edward Adlard, said: “Throughout its history, Manchester United has constantly evolved, with the support of its huge and diverse global community of fans and partners.

“Tezos will enable Manchester United to use blockchain and Web3 to transform fan, player, team and partner engagement.
“The decision of the world’s largest football club to select Tezos as their blockchain of choice is further validation that thoughtful design combined with strong security, low fuel costs and community-led innovation are the critical factors driving the next wave of adoption in the new Digital Revolution.”
Tezos will also support the Manchester United Foundation with ongoing donations.
Donations will help train, educate and inspire young people in the local community.
