Northwest Personal Training Week Prep Athlete of Week 29 Nominees

Here are the nominees for Northwest Personal Training’s Week 29 High School Athlete of the Week.

Voting will continue until 7 p.m. Wednesday, with the results announced in Thursday’s edition of The Columbian.

Athlete of the Week winners cannot be named again during the regular season, and no athlete can be named for consecutive weeks.

To avoid vote manipulation, voters must provide an email address. Votes are limited to one per day per email address.

Here are the nominees:

JUSTIN FULLER, THE BASEBALL CENTER: Fuller threw a one-hit shutout, striking out 11 and walking none, and went 2-for-4 with three RBIs in a 3-0 victory over Elma for the 1A District title.

HAILEY KERKER, TENNIS GIRLS CAMAS: The freshman dropped just one set in three matches winning the singles title at the District 4A tournament.

KARA MATTSON, PRAIRIE GIRLS ATHLETICS: Mattson won the 100-meter hurdles and the long jump and was second in the triple jump at the District 3A meet.

MALLORY VANCLEAVE, RIDGEFIELD SOFTBALL: Vancleave went 6-for-10 with two doubles, three homers, seven runs and seven RBIs to help the Spudders finish an undefeated regular season.

ANNIKA YEH, GOLF FOR GIRLS MOUNTAIN VIEW: Yeh shot 76 and 79 at Three Rivers in Kelso to win the District 3A tournament by 43 shots.
