Senior Hour – Paseo Club Activities and Risk Reduction for Seniors – September 21, 2022

On this episode of The Senior Hour, Barbara Cochran is joined by special guests General Manager Jennifer Azevedo and Paseo Club Fitness Director Cezanne Youmazzo. Jennifer is also a tennis and pickleball instructor at the club, allowing her to meet and teach club members fun new ways to stay active and fit.

They also discuss how liquid cardio (pool aerobics) is a popular activity among Paseo Club seniors.

“It’s great for all ages, but extremely beneficial for older people. We also offer tennis lessons for seniors, pickleball and pilates,” Jennifer said. “We also have functional mobility classes for seniors, which is really helpful for their nervous system.”

Later, Miles McNamara of Comfort Keepers joins the show and discusses Comfort Keepers’ emphasis on being proactive when it comes to the health of its seniors. He adds that slips and falls are preventable and that discussions between adult children and the elderly are necessary in order to avoid these incidents.

Hear Barbara and Dr. Dorio discuss the benefits for older adults of staying physically active with Jennifer, Cézanne, and staying one step ahead when it comes to keeping older adults safe with Miles in this edition of The Senior Hour!
