Your Guide to Easter Weekend Activities in Flint, Genesee County

FLINT, MI — There will be plenty of treats to discover at Easter egg hunts in Genesee County.

Local churches, community leaders and other organizations are creating spaces and events for fun weekend family outings.

Take a look at the list below to plan the activities you and your family would like to participate in.

Easter Egg Hunt, Free Lunch and Bike Giveaway with World Champion Boxer Claressa Shields

Come meet Flint’s world champion boxer, Claressa Shields, and get your kids involved in Genesee County’s biggest Easter egg hunt.

The event will take place at 10 am on Saturday April 16 at the corner of Neff and Coldwater roads.

There will be over 1,500 hidden eggs and those who find a golden egg will win one of 25 bikes.

The Greater Beecher Business Association, in partnership with Shields, Roma’s Pizza, Great Giant, @Fitness and Summit Rentals, will also be offering a free lunch.

Sprout Worldwide brings Easter back to downtown Flint

Aiesha Lewis, owner of Sprout Worldwide, brings Easter downtown with The Downtown Flint Egg-Stravaganza.

Families will be able to play fun games, create unique crafts, take photos to keep memories alive and have the chance to meet the Easter Bunny.

The event will take place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 16 at Riverbank Park near Saginaw Street, between 1st Avenue and Union Street in the city’s downtown.

Sprout Worldwide was established in 2019. Their mission is to provide opportunities and experiences for youth, families, and artists to spur community growth.

The event is organized by the Flint Institute of Music, Flint Downtown Development Authority, The What’s Up Downtown Flint Project, Team Mari and Eye Snap Studios LLC.

Flushing Fire Department Easter Egg Hunt

The Flushing Fire Department will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt at noon on Saturday, April 16 at Flushing Riverview Park, 230 S. Cherry St., Flushing.

Arrive at 11:30 a.m. to greet the Easter Bunny arriving by fire truck.

The egg hunt starts at noon sharp, so don’t be late, encourage the event organizers.

Candy bags will also be provided to all participants, and if one is lucky enough to find an egg with a special sticker, it can be given away for a prize.

Easter Weekend Meals at Flint Catholic Charities

It’s Holy Week and Catholic Charities is hosting a number of events throughout the Easter weekend as well as running their annual donation drive to raise money for the Center for Hope.

The North End Soup Kitchen, 735 Steward Ave., will be open 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for lunch and 4 p.m. Easter Sunday.

The Center for Hope, 812 Root St., will be open from noon to 1 p.m. those same three days for lunch.

Everyone who comes to the North End Soup Kitchen for Easter lunch will receive a free Easter basket.

There is an additional Easter basket at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 17 at 6340 N. Genesee Road in Genesee Township.

Easter Sunday Dance at Flint Eagles 629

Looking for a place to hang out or just hang out and dance?

Flint Eagles 629, located at 2149 N. Dort Highway in Flint, will host an Easter Sunday dance on Sunday, April 17.

Doors open at 1 p.m. on Sunday, with music provided by Conjunto Champz from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The cost is $10 per person with a cash bar.

“Feeding a Family for Easter” Event in Flint

Flint Bethel United Methodist Church, located at 1309 N. Ballenger Highway, will host “Feeding a Family for Easter” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.

It will be a food giveaway with food from Flint Fresh and candy sponsored by Flint Mayor Sheldon Neeley and Bethel United Methodist Church.

Annual Genesee Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt

The event, which takes place at 5240 Green Arbor Drive in Genesee Township, begins at 11 a.m. sharp on Saturday, April 16.

Children of all ages are encouraged to enjoy the activities.

The event organizers encourage arriving early as the event will start on time.

Community Easter Party

This Easter celebration is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 16 at the LightHouse Spirit of God Church, located at 1657 Mabel Ave. in Flint.

There will be an Easter egg hunt for all ages, free hot dogs and games.

Children will also receive a free Easter gift.

Easter egg hunt in Clio

A free Community Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 16 at Bethany United Methodist Church, located at 353 E Vienna Street in Clio.
